For panic attacks help and advice, you can approach a doctor or a psychiatrist. However, what do you do when the doctor is not around, in such instances; self help is the best help you can give yourself. Panic attack medications can help reduce the symptoms, but when you are all alone or in some remote location, what do you do? If don’t have the emergency medications, then you need to be aware of the things or procedures that can calm the panic attack.

Most of the times, panic attacks last for few minutes, but during those minutes, you feel as if you are going through hell. You need to train your mind to keep calm and cool during the panic attack. Take deep breaths continuously and talk to yourself. Keep reminding yourself that you are fine and there is nothing wrong with you. You need to have a strong self belief that you can fight the mental condition your self—It’s all in your mind.

When you are having a panic attack, you need to challenge yourself. If you feel that you are going to die during the panic attack, then you need to think rationally and keep contradicting the negative thoughts. Replacing the negative thoughts with positive thoughts often does the trick. Such self help methods are often the first aid to the anxiety treatment. You must not rely completely on such methods. When you have the time, you need to visit the doctor or the therapist for a complete treatment.

Panic or anxiety treatment may take few months to even years, so you need to have a lot of patience and faith on your doctor or therapist. If the doctor or the therapist gives you medications, you must take them very diligently and ensure that you do not skip any dose. With the help of the Internet you can share your problems with friends and also from your own panic attack group.

During the anxiety disorder treatment, you need to take special care of yourself and maintain a healthy schedule. Regular exercise has a lot of positive effect on the treatment of anxiety disorders. You must exercise for at least 20 to 30 minutes on a daily basis. You can ask your doctor or the therapist for an exercise plan. You can also have a look at a few videos learn the exercises that need to be done during the anxiety disorder treatment.

Another key aspect during the anxiety treatment is the anxiety treatment diet. During the anxiety treatment, it is very important that you have a wholesome diet that also comprises fruits, vegetables. Irregular eating habits have known to cause a negative impact on the anxiety treatment. In addition to exercises and a good balanced diet, you need to get a good night’s sleep. After a day’s work, the body gets tired and needs rest. Sleep is one way of giving the necessary rest for the mind and body.

If you are addicted to caffeine or any narcotic substance, than you need to discontinue them immediately. Caffeine or any other stimulants may interfere with the anxiety treatment and may render the anxiety treatment useless. Some of the alternative anxiety treatments are as follows:

o    Yoga
o    Meditation
o    Aromatherapy
o    Acupuncture

In addition to the above mentioned alternative anxiety treatments, people also try herbal medicines. Some of the common herbal medicines include St. John’s Wart, Valerian root, and Vitamin B-complex supplements. You may need to check with your doctor or therapist if it is fine to use the above mentioned alternative anxiety treatments. Most doctors will not say a no for the alternative therapies. As long as the alternative therapies don’t cause any obstruction in their regular treatment, most doctors will not deny you the privilege of alternative therapies.

Professional panic attacks help is very important if you have severe panic attacks. The message is clear—do all that you can to protect yourself from panic attacks. Don’t let the fear of panic attacks deter you. Fighting mental problems the right way is very important and can lead you to perfect health.

Don’t get disheartened when the medications or treatments don’t work. Keep telling yourself to move ahead and face the problems as they come your way.

Panic attacks are no joke. It is a serious disorder that needs immediate attention and treatment to those who have it. Panic Attacks or anxiety disorders are a mental illness that can be cured with proper treatments and medications. These help the patient lead a normal life and do normal things such as driving.

Driving is already an activity that needs your fullest attention and when you have a panic attack while driving, you are at danger to not only yourself but the other road users and drivers as well. This can be avoided if you know how to recognize an impending attack and get the proper panic attack help while driving so that you can help prevent a disaster from happening. You have probably heard a lot of stories on road accidents that have happened due to people falling asleep at the wheel or even road rages because they cant control their anger and frustrations and other behavioral problems behind the wheel of our cars. It is all about someone losing control because they can’t deal with their emotions and a panic attack is something about losing that control as well because you are unable to thin and act rationally when faced with stress.

For a long time now, there have been a direct correlation between driving and anxiety attacks. Some of the factors that contribute to stress while driving are such as busy roads and crazy intersections, impatient motorists and other various factors which get us to one destination to another on a daily basis. Roads nowadays have become a place where more deaths occur than in the hospital and it has become an urban war zone as we all are constantly in the hurry to get somewhere fast or to be there first. When a person has a history of panic attacks, these factors, no matter how simple and small can be aggravated into something severe. Anxiety treatment at its earliest should be introduced to the patient at the earliest signs of mental disorders. A panic attack that happens while driving can cause some of the most emotional and physical effects on a person. The dangers to them are quite obvious and more often than not, the causes for these reactions are all controllable. Panic attacks cause the most complex and immediate reactions known in the human body, causing multiple reactions of muscle and hormones at one go. Bodily organisms and systems react differently to the situation at a greater speed and these actions cause unpredictable actions.

In most cases, panic attacks affect our visual system which is the eyes, our motor skills, major gland functions, brain functions, heart functions, lung functions, and many more systematic functions throughout our body. When panic attacks happen, the metabolism of the body is increased and several blood sugars stream into the vital organs causing a massive panic on the body’s organs. Sugars and excessive fatty acids that are released into the bloodstream are carried throughout the body in the attempt to “cope” with the stressors or causes of your panic attack, often ending with disastrous results. Anxiety disorder medication reacts by counter these systems and ‘calming’ it down.

Panic attacks that happen in your adolescent ages will most likely continue into the adult life of a person, especially if panic attack help is not given at the earliest signs of anxiety attacks. Much like epilepsy, which is controllable with the right medications, panic attacks can also be reduced, if not eliminated with the right therapy, care, medication and help. Having a panic attack while driving, therefore, is a dangerous but often inevitable possibility because of the ever ready stress available in driving and of the roads today.

Anxiety attack medications such as benzodiazepine tablets help give the sufferer short term relief due to stress related anxieties. Normally, people use these to calm them down if they know that they will be enduring stressful situations such as when driving. These medications however shouldn’t be taken for prolonged periods as the patient might be at risk of addiction. Buspirone is another type of anxiety medication that can help relieve anxiety and this is commonly taken as it is not as addictive. Antidepressants are also taken to treat certain anxiety disorders such as generalized anxiety disorder, OCD, social phobia, and anxiety associated with depression. If you suffer from panic attacks, keeps these prescribed medications within reach such as in your bag when you go out. a good thing to do is to inform your colleague or someone close to you of your disorder as well as tell them about first-aid treatments that they can administer on you when you have an attack.

Panic and anxiety attacks can be a hindrance on your path of success. Calm your senses and fight these mind boggling conditions. With the various panic and anxiety treatments available make your self free from all these mental conditions.

Anxiety disorder includes Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD), Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), Social Anxiety (SAD), Specific Phobia, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Generalized anxiety disorder or GAD is an exaggerated, excessive anxiety and the worry of daily events. People suffering with generalized anxiety disorder can’t stop themselves from worrying about money, family matters, work, school or college. Generally, the worry of things is often out of proportion and unrealistic for the specific state of affairs.

The symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder are as follows:

•    Restlessness
• An unrealistic view of troubles
•    Muscle tension
•    Excessive tension and worry
•    Irritability
•    Headaches
•    Nausea
•    Trembling
•    Difficulty concentrating
•    Sweating
• Trouble falling or staying asleep
•    Tiredness

There are a number of anxiety treatment options available now a days. Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy or CBT is one such treatment option and is a short-term type of psychotherapy. In this therapy, the patient actively participates in the recovery process. This therapy teaches a sense of control to the patient and equips him or her with the skills to counter attack anxiety attacks.

The medical professionals who administer the cognitive-behavioral therapy are clinical social workers, psychiatric nurses, psychiatrists, and psychologists. The principal goal of cognitive therapy is to alter or modify the disturbing and unwanted thought patterns. The primary goal of Behavior Therapy is to alter and achieve control over unwanted behavior.

Relaxation techniques are another great way to reduce panic and anxiety disorders. They empower the body and mind to fight stress and other anxiety symptoms. Some of the relaxation techniques are meditation, slow breathing, isometric relaxation, self hypnosis, progressive muscle relaxation, and visualization. Relaxation techniques are safe and do not have any side effects on the body. With a little hand-holding initially, the patients can do these exercises on their own in no time.

With latest advancements in the medical world, there are many anxiety disorder medications available in the market. Doctors often prescribe the medications in conjunction any one of the above-mentioned treatments. Thus, the treatment of anxiety disorder can be done by either one method or a combination of two or more methods.

For anxiety disorders, doctors generally prescribe drugs that belong to the class of benzodiazepines. This class of drugs is commonly called as tranquilizers because they have a tendency to make your feel relaxed and calm. Benzodiazepines reduce restlessness and muscle tension, which are the physical symptoms of GAD. In the market, commonly found benzodiazepines are Librium, Xanax, Ativan, and Valium. For chronic anxiety there is a stronger medication available, which is called BuSpar. Other antidepressants that are used in the treatment of anxiety disorder are Effexor and Paxil.

Benzodiazepines are very fast acting medications and are very successful in alleviating the mental and physical symptoms. Primarily, Benzodiazepines increase the activity of GABA or gamma-aminobutyric acid. Chemically, gamma-aminobutyric acid is a neurotransmitter that is responsible for reducing brain activity.

Benzodiazepines are best for the treatment of anxiety disorders, but they have few side effects. The most important side effects are loss of coordination and drowsiness. In addition to these side effects, you may also have fatigue, state of confusion, memory loss, aggression, loss of balance and mental slowness. So, patients who are on benzodiazepines are advised not to take up any driving or any other tasks that involve the operation of heavy machinery. The dosage of these medicines depends on the severity of the anxiety attacks and the chemistry of the patient’s body.

Benzodiazepines can have harmful effects on the body if they are consumed along with certain substances such as alcohol. Benzodiazepines when combined with antihistamines, anesthetics, muscle relaxants, and sedatives increase the CNS or Central Nervous System depression. Though benzodiazepines are the best for the treatment of anxiety disorders, they can be very addictive. Scientists are still searching ways of improving the medications for anxiety disorders.

So, when the doctor prescribes benzodiazepines for the treatment of your anxiety disorder, you must always inform the doctor if you are taking any other medications. Sometimes, a little of anxiety or panic attacks help the patient, by making them more involved in the things that they are doing. But, no sooner the anxiety attack gathers momentum, the focus is lost and the concentration levels drop.

Anxiety disorder conditions are becoming more well known unlike before and those afflicted with the once mystifying ailment should know that it is one that is treatable.

Anxiety is quite a common feeling from all of us. This feeling akin to fear but not quite often surfaces whenever we are confronted with something – often a situation or a scenario – we are neither familiar nor comfortable with. We then would feelings a bit anxious as to what could happen. If this feelings of anxiety recurs far too much and without much prompting, then it could well be that you are afflicted with the anxiety disorder condition. It was once a very mystifying condition and ailment as physician do have a hard time pinpointing its origins. As such anxiety treatment involved a whole lot of experimenting from the medical fraternity before any headway was made.

That was then, however, and with time, more and more understanding have been made into this condition afflicting quite a number of people, young and old alike. A good majority of patients so afflicted are women, but there are men too in the fold. What they should know however is that it is quite a common affliction (although there are still no second guessing of it exact origins) and anxiety treatment is available widely now.

Often times, anxiety disorders is manifested by panic attacks in the severe type. These occur on a far more frequent manner that they do in people who are not afflicted with the condition. For a patient suffering from anxiety disorders, there are really either no or vague causes which would trigger such attacks to take place. It can come out of a sudden, and all they know is that their feelings of fear and anxiousness can be far too overwhelming; a sense of being utterly helpless and lost. This is where anxiety disorders – if not treated – can be dangerous as it could lead to the patient suffering from a full blown depression. For those suffering from panic attacks help must be given as so as possible also from another reason; that of not allowing the “trigger” to entrench itself for future attacks.

Now, panic attacks normally last between 20 minutes to about an hour for the more serious cases. However, severe panic attacks can nonetheless lead to dizzying bouts of anxiousness, a fear of a recurrence of the attacks. Anxiety disorder patients who do not seek anxiety treatment often form the impression that what they are feeling are very silly and that no one would understand the deeply abstract and emotionally draining anxiousness that they are feeling, simply because there are not outwards symptoms. In the case of panic attacks, you could easily see the signs as they are quite clearly manifested and includes symptoms such as sweating profusely, trembling and shaking – sometimes in a very violent way – and most apparent, shortness of breath.

Panic attacks are akin to someone who is suffering from a heart attack, albeit in a more frequent manner. Anxiety attacks meanwhile attacks the inner self, going for the self confidence and usually would not manifest any outward symptoms. There are nonetheless some signs which close friends and families should look out for with the most common being that the patient so afflicted would be prone to withdrawing themselves from public participations and being far too inward in their personalities. There is a need to talk to patients and this is but the very start for anxiety treatment before anything else can be done. There is simply no other way that we can know an anxiety disorder patient is suffering unless we are with them 24 hour a days and being able to spot the subtle symptoms.

What must be impressed on anxiety disorder patients is the fact that the medical sector has made good breakthroughs in tackling the affliction. Now, not only are there a good number of specialists for the condition, but anxiety disorder medication is also widely available. The latter normally go hand in hand with the psychological aspect of anxiety treatment – that of counseling sessions to find out the why and the how – with the medication forming the first barrier of treatment. Anxiety disorder medication including pills like Ativan, Xanax and Klonopin acts as a failsafe to allow the patient to make their own move to arrest an impending attack of anxiety bouts. These are relaxants and coupled with other techniques including deep breathing exercises – something which counselors should impart – would allow the patients to realize that whatever it is that they are feeling, helplessness is definitely not one of them.

Panic attacks are severe in nature. These attacks become too much problematic when the sufferers literally presume that his/her life is about to end due to its adverse effect. It is at this crucial juncture that the sufferers require moral support and a panic attack help. Motivation and emotional support are the major panic attack helps. Helping the patients who suffer from anxiety disorders and panic attacks require a regular dose of emotional back up so that their impact is lessened and the sufferer starts believing in the optimistic way of life. Most sufferers of panic attacks find it impossible to cope up with the traumatic situations. These attacks make them scary. They loose hope in their lives.

    Anxiety may hit anyone anytime. It can happen at least once in a lifetime to some, while recurring to others. No matter how it was experienced, it is still not a very pleasant emotion. When you panic your heart beats faster than normal. Your pores sweat out profusely, your palms get clammy, and your skin gets pale. Not a very good sight and not a very nice feeling. When this happens more often than you thought, it is best to do something about it. Anxiety treatment can help you. There are several ways and methods that a professional physician can recommend. You only have to come over and seek help.

First step upon recognition of the illness is to tell to yourself that you will be as open as you can to let the doctors know about your disorder so they can help you get well. No hiding of details, no secrets, no buts, no silence. Be open and honest. When talking to your doctor, be as honest as possible so they can help you properly.

Second, once the doctors has finally heard all about your illness, he will now determine which anxiety disorder medication he shall recommend for you to undergo. There are several known methods to choose from, each has it’s own usage and effect. But it is best to base to some factors about the affected person which treatment is to use.

The following are some panic attacks help to overcome anxiety disorders:
- Diaphragm breathing method
- Anxiety medication drugs
- Acknowledgement of disorder
- Floating with symptoms
- Familial support

Diaphragm Breathing method:
This is a method used by doctors to relief sudden bursts of panic attacks. You breathe slowly through your nose using your abdomen and diaphragm. Do not breathe from your mouth, and exhale very slowly. It helps to correct the disparity of oxygen and carbon dioxide present in your lungs and in the blood stream. Doing this will prevent you from sudden shock.

Anxiety Medication drugs:
This treatment gives temporary or short term reliefs. But most rather choose this than longer treatments because it helps them pronto. It helps to calm down their total emotions, relaxes the tension, and turn the heart rate close to normal. However, there are certain things that people are not aware of about drugs. Not aware or they just let it pass since it helps them feel better after all.

Here are some drugs with their common side effects:

Atarax (hydroxyzine hydrochloride) – drowsiness, and dryness of the mouth;
Ativan (lorazepam) – some dizziness, too calmness, feeling of weakness;
BuSpar, Buspirone (buspirone hydrochloride) – dryness of the mouth, some dizziness, headaches, fatigue, and nausea;
Centrax (pazepam) – discoordination feeling, some dizziness, drowsiness, fatigue, and feeling of weakness;
Librium, Libritabs (chlordiazepoxide) – feeling of constipation, drowsiness, nausea, bloated feeling;
Miltown, Equanil (meprobamate) – some had diarrhea, bruises, fevers, headaches, nausea, rashes, some experienced  slurry in speech;
Serax (oxazepam) – some dizziness, faint feel, headaches, can develop liver problems, discoordination, nausea, vertigo;
Stelazine (trifluoperazine hydrochloride) – abnormal glucose in urine, allergic reactions, blurred vision, some constipation, eye spasms, fluid retention and swelling;
Tranxene, Tranxene-SD (clorazepate dipotassium) – feeling of drowsiness;
Valium (diazepam) – discoordination, drowsiness, light-headedness;

Acknowledgement of disorder is simply explained as the ability to admit to oneself that the illness or disorder is present within your self. To be able to admit is a good start to recovery.

Floating with symptoms is the act of letting it pass and trying not to mind it exists. This type of anxiety disorder medication is not very much recommended by some professionals since it just let the patient go with the flow. They need help more than just let is pass.

Familial Support is the next considered vital in helping a loved one’s walk to healing and improvement. Because for them, to know that someone is waiting for you to be well is a great booster to encourage patients to fight the illness. This is the simplest anxiety treatment however some still are not able to get it. A little personal touch goes a long way to help the affected people’s spirit to lift and have hopes to get well. They deserve even the littlest of it.
