Hi gary have you ever tried buspirone? buspirone incombination with an antidepressant can be helpful, also venlafaxine is the medication the uk psychiatrists advise. cheers.

I was just diagnosed with GAD and depression. I'm just happy to know that I'm not crazy and there is a name for what I'm suffering from…Thanks for the encouraging words!

I just read what you wrote please know this-
and you don't need to pay for it. I used to live with anxiety, panic, ocd and agarophobi, all of this. Please see my site at: fuentesevangelism.c-o-m

Hi, I suffer from GAD, I am taking 20mg citalopram and L theanine. It is working but I do have occasional relapses. I think what you said about dopamine is true. L theanine helps boost dopamine levels slightly. What do you think about bupropion, a NDRI, Ive heard it can be very effective at treating GAD. cheers.

Hey there, I'm glad to see nurses speaking out on here. I'm an RN and I have anxiety secondary to suffering from chronic pain. Its tough, and you're right, medication is only part of it, but getting out there and doing the things that scare you is essential to rehabilitate you. I hope you're doing better :) I know I'm getting on the right path…

My explanation I give to people is this;
If your talking to someone, and you happen to drop a pencil… it's not big deal. But to me, it's like almost getting into a major car accident. And instead of building adrenaline, I almost faint and the room starts spinning.

myartisfashion @ 2:08 am #

Awesome awesome. Just had my second panic attack–first panic attack where I was checked out at the ER and aware of what was going on. So helpful to see that other people experience this.

DigitalAnonymous @ 2:13 am #

Thanks for this video dude! I've had severe panic the better part of 2 decades. I will say this. Never take benzos like xanax and klonopin. You will build a tolerance to these meds and eventually need more and more until u reach a point where no amount will work. You will then be forced to come off and your anxiety will be 1000 times worse than baseline and make take you several years to get back to baseline if you are lucky.

I should also mention that my fiance's brother ended up killing himself while on SSRIs so it's already a touchy subject for my fiance anyway, let alone doctors forcing the darn things down his throat.

missmarie273 @ 3:07 am #

How bout the terrible sd effcts SSRIs give u lk sexual dysfunct? That alone is enuf 2 cause n e 1 depres. My fiance suffers from anx & every psych just wanted 2 pump him w/drugs & did not even sug cog behav ther. Benzos r addctve? That's true, but so r SSRIs & ppl often suffer serious w/drawals when going off of them-not 2 mention they r hazardous 2 ur health. The prob is, that psychs are lazy these dys that they r drug dlrs, rather than offer vital thrpy 2 re-train the brain 2 overcome it.

BaileyLush @ 4:04 am #

Thanks for your videos man! I think you're helping alot of people by shedding a medical perspective on this whole ordeal.

BaileyLush @ 5:03 am #

Those are the symptoms bro. I know it's a hard pill to swallow, because they seem to come outta nowhere- and leave you feeling like your dying:)

ZIPPTPH77 @ 5:46 am #

This happened to me, the albuuterol only made my breathing problems worse, because it made my heart beat faster! God Bless…all the best!

MouthforWar78 @ 6:39 am #

Than You for this. I have never been diagnosed with a panic disorder but I have been to the ER so many times for what seem like "heart attack" symptoms. It's strage though because I'm only in my late 30's, I will be woken up by a racing heart, tingling in my left hand and chest pain.Even when I calm my self, my heart races untill it's done racing. I have had full work ups (like you mentioned) including stress tests, MRI's, everything and I always check out fine.

This is making alot of sense.

Soldiersurvivor505 @ 6:58 am #

I have ocd ptsd and gad It is so terrible that I can't even run for 20 seconds without even having a panic attack. Thanks for this video I will try this stuff

JFurguson @ 7:55 am #

Great Video……..

al184 @ 8:17 am #

Thanks brother. I love your words of inspiration. I like how you touched upon the fact that if you need to go out and do something, just tackle it. i was having those problems at many points during my life. Gonna keep this short, so thanks and peace out.

heroe2006 @ 9:14 am #

but im taking atenolol to ease such anxiety symptoms

heroe2006 @ 9:42 am #

helped me fight the bouts of emptiness and panic that i've been going through these past few months. I think this may also be attributed to withrdrawing from DEPAKOTE

heroe2006 @ 10:12 am #

THANK YOU SO MUCH….FINALLY IM NOT ALONE ON THIS. I've started having related problems early this year. I have depression for four consecutive months, went into fullblown panic and anxiety for most of the summer. It eased down and i would say im almost cured today. however, i have been getting small bouts of emptiness and panic on separate occassions. My doc has put me on atenolol and xanax…but i've decided to fight this alone. I've been exercising 3-5 times a week and i believed it has

When we understand WHY we have these strange sensations and feelings and BELIEVE that they are NOT life threatening we learn how to ACCEPT the sensations and then we will be able to STOP shrinking/running/hiding from Panic. We will also realise that thereis no MONSTER to hide from!Panic attacks are only APPREHENTION created dy our catastrophics thoughs. The panic/tension mounts and mounts and mounts untill we are sure we are dying or going insane or losing control. We do this to ourselves with fear

ray180597 @ 11:04 am #

C.B.T is the SOLUTION for Panic disorder/Agoraphobia.Meds definitely will help you but will NOT cure you.I have had it for 20 years and i can say i am now "almost cured".I finally found a way out of the vicious cycle of panic by UNDERSTANDING MY CONDITION,FACING EVERYTHING THAT USED TO MAKE ME NERVOUSS AND ACCEPTING ALL THE HORRIBLE SYMPTOMS WITHOUT SHRINKING FROM OR RUNNING/HIDING FROM THEM.You can learn all this through the books/audio recording of a late Australian doctor named CLAIRE WEEKES.
