Coping With Anxiety, the Best Way to Do It

0

Many symptoms of anxiety or panic attacks can cause some debilitating effect on people.  They could either withdraw or detach themselves permanently away from society or this could lead to a more serious complication later on like a severe form of disease or illnesses.
The daily pressures of living can put a stress on our lives.  This could include the traffic, coffee spilling on our newly pressed shirt causing unwanted stains just before we go to work, a spouse who keeps bugging us about an unfinished task, a demanding boss who keeps piling up one instruction with another.  These are just a few of the stressors we encounter almost everyday.
Stress is generally cumulative, the more it happens to us the more we succumb to its clutches of being helpless and hopeless.  However, different people have different levels of tolerance for stress.  Some have the ability of coping with anxiety and stress while others have not that much longer tolerance.
The need for panic attack treatment is thus becoming necessary for people unable to make adjustment.  The sufferers may experience a feeling of being over burdened, has a low self esteem and may even lead to depression.
Listed below are some suggestions in coping with anxiety.
•    Be proactive.  Learn to recognize things, persons or situations that you can and cannot change.  This will teach you to acknowledge all your areas of concern and this could include the economy, politics, religion, the traffic situation, the weather, the long lines at the elevator etc.  These are basically things that you cannot change so do not devote too much time on them.  Instead, focus your attention on areas where you have control like your daily habit, your relationship with you spouse and children, how you react to a situation etc.  Being proactive means having a choice on how we react to the stressors.  Panic attack medication can be avoided altogether if you follow this.
•    It is alright to say No.  You must realize that you cannot do everything all at the same time.  You only have one body and it can do only so much.  You do not have to spread yourself too thin and accept everything because you are afraid to say no and let down your friends.  We must remember all things are important but not all of them are urgent.  Learn how to prioritize.
•    Be physically active.  This means engaging in physical exercises like jogging, brisk walking, swimming, playing basketball or tennis among others.  This is one way to keep your mind away from the things that causes you stress.  This will also make you healthy and prevent you from seeking panic attack treatment.
•    Eat healthy foods.  Eating the right foods will not only make you healthy as this can provide the necessary nutrients for your body but also make you less susceptible to stress and anxiety.  It can make your tolerance to everyday stress a bit higher.  A good nutrition can clear your mind and makes you think logically and rationally.
•    Practice deep breathing.  Deep breathing exercises can help you relax and releases the tension away.  Deep breathing can bring the necessary oxygen inside your system.  One way to practice this is to have a deep breath and try to hold it for eight to ten seconds while saying this to yourself, “all will be fine” or “relax” then exhale slowly.  This can calm you down.  Another way to relax is to calm some of your muscle group.  Try to concentrate on a tensed up muscle like the legs, the arms and try to control it by making it relaxed and releasing the tension.
•    Break big problems into smaller ones.  Big or large problems is really insurmountable, they seem too big for us to be having a solution.  But when you try to think about it is no longer big once you break it up into smaller pieces.  Solve each problem or concern one day at a time and sooner or later you will notice that you have actually solved all your problems without even realizing it.
Panic attack treatment may not be necessary if we try to follow this simple advises.  This would only take your full commitment to do this on a regular basis as well as lots of discipline to push yourself to do what should be done for the betterment of yourself.
