Panic and Anxiety Disorders: Overcoming Them

Emotions have very unusual place in our lives. This is easily something so abstract that you can not really use exact science to filter through the  myriad and ranges of functionalities that are the hallmark of something which you do not even know where it originates from. Emotions are felt and never seen, and  while there are some components of emotions which we are perfectly reasonable to loathe (hey, isn't that one such?) others are however those which you look forwards to the next time it rears its head to much delight (yet another. We are on a roll, aren't we?). Examples of the former must include panic and anxieties; feelings which often arises whenever we are approached or approaches some situations which we are not familiar with, situations which we deem as dangerous to us. For some with chronic disorders, overcoming panic attacks can be quite a difficult thing to do.

Why is this so, you may ask? Panic and anxieties are interrelated whereby one lives of the other by feeding it with exactly the very thing that can be said to be one of its main causes. Explaining this is easily done, really. Even those of us without any such disorders would attest to how debilitating it can be for someone to be feeling a bout of anxiety. Anxiousness comes and goes for most of us, though. For us, anxiety is only something that appears whenever we feel that something is threatening us – and this isn't necessarily situations that are dangerous in nature alone but also those which causes us to feel particularly worried. Imagine then the same feeling repeating itself on regular cycles throughout the day without even needing any particular catalyst to prompt such emotions. The worry however is that by the time others can recognized these physical symptoms, the anxiety and panic attack cycle has reached their debilitating stage. For others, though, the more important is to not allow the patients to dwell in denial over their respective disorders. Just what are some of the physical symptoms of something suffering from such disorders? You can't really tell actually, but the signs are more apparent when they have an episode of panic attacks. This is akin to someone suffering from a heart attack; starting from extreme anxiousness leading to panic would cause them to, amongst others, sweat profusely, become extremely fidgety or worse, tremble a lot, a feeling of vertigo, and in the most dangerous of manifestation, shortness of breath. That said, there are however no such thing as the best medicine for panic disorder especially since the conditions need more than just plain medication. At best, medication such as Xanax and Propolin, both of which are relaxant, cures only the physical symptoms. They are good as stop gap measures but a full treatment needs the patients to strengthen their inner core: in other words, they have to be stronger internally, and for this there is no other way but to attend psychological sessions so that they can finally see that they are masters of their emotions and not the other way around.
