Comments on Obsessive Compulsive Disorder OCD (Part 1) Symptoms/Treatment Anxiety/Mental/Personality Illness
My OCD is literally crippling…I have had it since I was 19 (that's the earliest time that I can remember)…I am 41 now…It rules my life and I am miserable
I have this weird thing where I hate reflections. For some reason everytime I a reflective surface it makes me freak out. like when I try to watch TV but it's reflecting then I can't focus on anything other than the reflection and I my anxiety builds up. IT's really terrible because almost everything reflects so I'm afraid to use my phone, watch TV, or anything like this. In fact there is a reflection on my computer screen that is really bugging me as I type this.
bad thoughs i can relate to this
I have OCD but my obsession is chapstick. I need it. I freak out if it's not with me! I really wish I didn't have to carry it all around with me but I can't help it. It's such an inconvienence. My brothers make fun of me and my mom and dad just make it worse. I'm trying to help myself but I just keep getting worse. Hopefully some videos will help me a little
I HAVE THE SICKEST OCD POSSIBLE…..ALL U GUYS SUFERING I CAN FEEL, UNDERSTAND THE PAIN U ARE SUFFERING, BUT LIFE AND DA WORLD ISNOT GNA STOP CZ OF US,,WE GTA MOVE WORK HARD…I TAKE AM Zolpidem (Ambien, Stilnox) 20 MG AND DAT RELAXES ME FOR 3…TO 4 HOURS….ELIMINATES MY OCD TO A GREAT EXTEND…U SHUD TRY…IT FEELS SO GUD TO BE NORMAL FOR SOME TYM
@YouTips4U Thank you so much, I'll try that
Hi, practice the same technique as you do to cut down on washing your hands; try to do it less and less. Perhaps you can keep a pen nearby and doodle on a piece of paper to help break the habit initially.
Hi, I always play with my fingers. I have a very strong urge to even everything out. For example: If I scratch one side of my nose, I have to scratch the other. And I have been washing my hands an awful lot when I go in the pool, or even at school I have an urge to wash them. It started out when my parents fought a lot a two years ago. They are getting divorced very soon. I have already started to cut down washing my hands every time I touch something. But how can I stop playing with my fingers?
@jasmin08ish You are not your mind, so try being the watcher and watch your thoughts as they come out. Be alert and watch and as you do they will dissipate. They will lose their power. Being aware is the key.
I recommend to anyone who suffers with mind identified issues to meditate and bring their thought back into the body where there true being is. Try reading the power of now from Eckhart Tolle. It may help
my experience being an ocd girl is so tough and freaking me out!..i tried not to think about my anxiety and frustration when washing up my hands and feet but i do it repetitively for 5 or more times…i always doing it when waking up or going to bed..and smtimes i feel ashame when i was going out with my friends but i dnt like them to see my habit..haiih and smtimes when i turned on my phone, (i think of smthing bad to happen) so i will turn it off and on again and again..
Hi, I understand how frustrating and upsetting OCD can be. Many times it can take a while for family members to truly understand what OCD is about and very often it can be mistaken for trying to get negative attention or it is downplayed to try to help you defocus on it. The fears that you are describing are very common among OCD sufferers. You're doing a great job reminding yourself that you know this is OCD. Don't be afraid to seek help if you think you need it.
I have harm ocd, it is really distressful. I try to talk to my family about it and they say I only want attention or its just a phase, that nothing is wrong with me. I mean it really hurts when the people I feel I can talk to can't be there. Then I have another one where i think that i might turn gay, or get sick of my girlfriend, but i know for a fact that i love her and that i am not gay. I constantly have battled thoughts like these on a daily basis for about a year. I want to be normal.
Hi, I know how hard this can be and it can definitely snowball on you and encompass many areas of your life. Don't lose hope though because treatment is available. If you are not ready to speak to a professional, try to make one small change on your own. Pick one thing that gives you anxiety and just like I said in the video, try to force yourself slowly to become accustomed to it. It may take time, but gaining control over one thing may be all you need to get you on the path to recovery.
i have this ocd with reading. i feel like i can't comprehend something when i read silently and only reading out loud will help. i've tried mouthing the words and reading slower, but it just drives me crazy. it's seriously ruining my life ):
Hi, it's fine to double check if you have everything you need etc. you just don't want to do it obsessively. So allow yourself one check and then you know it all fine and you can then try to move forward.
i always fear to drop thing when i pay when at shop and fear to lost thing when i move whit them and i always look if i dont forget anything obsesively is there a way to cure it for good and how can i know if im cured and good video
@bruceleeC64 she got into the wrong industry she should have done hardcore pornographic movies.
Hi, thank you for your very kind compliment. I'm so glad you liked my videos
)
Hi, I saw all the videos of yours on OCD and I really appreciate that you shared your knowledge here. This video is very useful and I admire the way in which you present the information. I mean that you can speak in such an interesting way, you can give really good examples, and all the information is really understandable. By the way, I think you would be a great lecturer at universities or anywhere.
At the end of this video.. i looked at you on my computer screen and said .. " God bless you .. that was a Fantasic explanation! " Merry Christmas!
I have a type of ocd where i always worry about something… not matter what, i just think about this one thing and the thing is diffrent everyweek and ican't really enjoy myself or have a good time without worrying and this causes a bit of stress. I am also very strict on organizing. Though this does come in handy in some ways, but it get pretty annoying but i have the best parents and friends that i can talk too which makes things so much better:)
Thanks a lot for your videos! Theyre helpful
Babe
I haven't heard the rest of the videos like this one, but from what I've heard so far, this lady knows what she's talking about. There's people out there who think they know what OCD is, but they don't know how bad it can get.
@ilisbaani This right here is why I'm choosing to study psychology. The way brains work apart from each other, the question 'why?' people do what they do. I'm a girl, and I have no issues towards men. I only want to find out why people act so different from each other – it either being how they were raised, or if it was just how there were born. You, my friend, would be interesting to study. Like if you try to prove something to women, prove you're worth something.
This coming from a 14 year old.

uhhuhuh..she said tits
I dont get why they say Post Dramatic Stress Disorder…Thats a cover up for the actual name…Shell Shock why do these words have a cover to make them seem less serouse?
Huh?? WTF?!~~ This just proves that psychology is a PSEUDO-SCIENCE.
a vast majority of people who study psych are girls. Girls with issues towards men. Theyre overly observant & overly judgmental, and a lot of the time, make themselves out to look like idiots. lol~~ its so funny to listen to them talk, bcuz they think theyre so smart, haha… And when they graduate… they cant find REAL jobs. They just end up doing bullshit research. Men study REAL science… Girls, get back in the kitchen!
Wow, I have a LOT of phobias then!
Hey i did my first video about Psychology on my channel. Let me know what you think! I have a lot of content coming soon stay tuned if you like it.
or when you play half life 1 you're going to be scared of sharks -.-
all these psychology videos here on youtube have fucking hot girls like this one in every one of them why is that?
I'm going to watch porn next. Thanks!
im not afraid of dolls…. i dont have pediophobia…. im just afraid of a homicidal raging spirit that will kill me with a kitchen knife….
I'm pretty sure they developed drugs which are selective?
For a good life & meaning try Truth-savescom, also, Robert M. Price, ' The reason driven life ', also mindvendorcom & authentichappinessorg, richarddawkinsnet,
feedback… you do have a very nice leg but umm it would have been nice to know the source of the fear like with adolf, where does the claustomcphobia come from. you know. its so irrational but the fear exists
Um, sketchy? How the freak did I get here?
i have of a fear of talking lol
This video is useless… get to the point already. In this case facts and figures dont make ur case stronger cos treatment is different for each individual… i could have made a better vid! Waste of my precious time.
I guess u have cock phobia…fear of big cocks! Spread ur legs apart, babe; this gona accelerate the learning process
I girlfriend says have a fear of crossed legs. I have to spread them whenever I see crossed legs.
@Quex01 You believe evolution is a cult? Oh the humanity! What exact problems do you have with it then, it is supported by 99.9% of biologists, experts in the field? Are you going to tell all these experts are wrong? Can you debunk all their papers on the subject?
@TheGamanic What makes you think im a creationist, you idiot? No i dont belive in both cults, because i think that evolution theory is just another cult, like christianity. Nothing to do with truth or reason. Only it disguises itself as "science". It uses some evidence to prove this "theory" and ignores all the other. You people are all they same, eighter you belive in god or Darwin, somehow it always have to be an old bearded man. Fuckin land of 13 yo lunatics.
@Quex01 Observations are the root of science and are the basis of psychology. Psychology is a broad subject anyway, e.g. neuroscience also collects physical and biological data from the subject. This makes it a science
they misused their power in horrible mind control experiments in past and today"- they can also do a lot of help by keeping psychopaths of the street!
@Quex01 Ah so you're a creationist! There were eugenics sympathisers in the West pre-1940s, however it was completely different to for example Hitler's program which you are probably thinking of. To my knowledge I don't know of any professors who specifically taught eugenics; they might have had those views but taught other subjects. As for other scientists, you don't really know what you are talking. You should not discount most things as crap merely because we now discount a few ideas
