The current financial crisis has brought people the burden of experiencing several illnesses and disorders all at the same time.  With the problems and concerns brought about by this financial debacle people are becoming susceptible to the different environmental stresses.
People at times seem incapable of adjusting to the vastly different lifestyle that they are experiencing right now.  Previously, they have the resources to splurge and spend on something that would satisfy their senses like eating out at a 5 star restaurant and buying designer clothes and shoes but nowadays because they have been laid off from work and their sources of income have greatly diminished, they tend to be immobilized and does not know what to do from then on.

The two components of CBT include the behavioral component and the cognitive component.  The behavioral component includes ways to change the sufferer’s perception on the things and situations that causes him or her stress.
For example, the loss of a job might be the cause of his anxiety attack.  The behavioral component might suggest to the sufferer that instead of sulking and worrying things this might be a chance to learn new skills so that he or she can find new sources of income based on his new skills.
The cognitive component assists the sufferer to become aware and to change their usual negative way of thinking.  The method will also teach the sufferer to move on and face the future.  This is usually done in group sessions where everybody can express what they feel and also at the same time learn that he or she is not alone in that situation.
As for the anxiety panic attack medication there are currently two classes available in the market today which most medical doctors are prescribing to their patients.  These are the Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitors or SSRI and the Serotonin Norepinephrine Reuptake Inhibitors or SNRI.  These are all anti depressants which are used to relieve and bring help for anxiety attack sufferers.
The current financial crisis should not dampen our willingness to move on and adapt to change.  Instead this should strengthen our resolve to provide our family and ourselves the means to weather the financial crisis.
