There's a small and excellent online depression support group called Depression Hangout that is always open to anyone who is struggling with mental health problems (not just depression). It's run in its own chaotic way by its members who meet regularly in the chat room and it's a great place to seek and provide help and support, make new friends and even just have a laugh. (We all need that too!) To join just go to depressionhangout-dot-blogspot-dot-com.
If what your doing isn't helping you. Try what I have "Jesus". 100% success rate.
Bless you.
Like I posted before. From my personal experience this Doctor has got it right!
@1rodknocker What are you talking about??
@1rodknocker Urgh, are you done whining yet?
@1rodknocker Depression's an illness man, but mania is awesome! Enjoy it!
@Shnufkin I don't understand. Are you making a joke? If so it is very rude. Mania for me was not really a great state to be in. I was just trying to encourage those Doctors or future doctors that I believe from my experience the this is a good video and he seems to be speaking directly to my condition.It took me years to admit to myself how serious this illness is.But like this video states, Most likely you will be in denial to the illness while in a manic state.
@1rodknocker YOU LOVED IT!!!!!!!
Thank you for posting.I've been recently diagnosed Bi Polar. And the characteristics he describes are right on. I just helps me accept the illness more. Oh I went on a five year manic spree on Tegretol. I' believe I have a good Doctor now. At 50 min that is me
Interesting talk.
On the slide at 32:45, he says suicide is 29% more likely, but the axis is a ratio, so it's actually 29 times more likely.
"This program is accredited for 1 hour of Cat.1 CME through April 2012." What is Cat.1 CME?
@cantavoidtrite – losing my job due misunderstandings and lack of clear communications over a month ago did not help. My bosses and I lost mutual trust.
@airforcemax Did you seek help and what worked?
I have had this problem over thirty years.
Good video
