Anxiety Disorder – Beyondblue

www.beyondblue.org.au
A video blog that I hope will help people dealing with depression and anxiety disorder. I dealt with my own personal demons in the past and I hope that other people watching this will be inspired to help themselves and gain a new perspective on their issues. It's important to recognize that your not alone and that their are people, services, organizations and professionals who can help you. Talk to your friends and family and your doctor and remember that you are a significant person who deserves to be happy and deserves to get the most out of life. Be strong.

Hey Dave, I don't even have to watch the rest of the video to know your situation and all i can say is to turn to God and Jesus. I've been watching your videos for a long time now and have always wanted to share to you His power and I really hope you consider next time your feeling down to talk to somebody you know that is a christian or I hope that God leads a christian to you to encourage you. and I hope in some way i've encouraged you.
God bless.
Thank you for this video. I always worry about thing tomorrow, the next month or even five years from now. Not to be excluded my past ass well. I've never gotten to the point that I wanted to kill my self, but I do wish I could just forget it all. After this video I will go and seek help for dealing with my past and other things I'm not talking about in this comment. Thank you.
Hi Dave popleycrew sent me, I also suffer Depression, But i now can cope with it, I do agree with everything you said.
Im glad people have to courage to talk about it, and yes society is like you said, breaking your leg is normal but having breakdowns emotionally is not allowed cause seen as weakness and yet normal as well.
Thankyou for posting this video it was a great help to me and probably many others. I too suffer from a mild case of depression every now and then. I found talking about my feelings and thoughts helps.. but being a bloke can be differcult but you have to do it sometimes.
I like your honesty and courage to talk about your own personnal feelings.
All the best to you.
Great video. I'm going through exactly the same thing right now, I have trouble with panic attacks and anxiety and low periods as well, I'm trying CBT too, hasn't helped much yet but it's early days.
Thanks, Dave. This is what I needed
Thanks for the vid. it was nice to hear from someone who really understands how depression feels I am told to just buck up and they can't seem to understand its not that simple or I wouldn't be in this place.
Also, I want to tell you that you say the words I wish I could say as well as you do lol. I'm posting my latest video as a response to this one because I feel you say some of the things I either hadn't thought to say, or didn't know how to say. Thank you very much =]

I've just stumbled across your videos, and I believe you've given me an epiphany. I never knew that OCD could manifest itself in the way you describe. I believe I identitfy with this very much. I just want to thank you for posting this video. It is highly encouraging to know that someone out there feels the way I do. I'm often told to "just stop worrying" or "you need to calm down and be less stressed". I believe you, if anyone, can understand my frustration when being told these things.
Thanks Dave.
thanks dave ;_;
u made me cry, but happy =)
People should not be ashamed of the possibility that they may need to go on some kind of medicine. It doesn't mean you are weak, and there shouldn't be a stigma, least of all from yourself, since you are the one who may need it.
The mind (personality) and the body are not independent from one another. Your thoughts can affect your physiology and body chemistry. Changes in your physiology and certain areas of your brain can affect your personality and feeling of well-being directly.
Good luck!
@DaveKnowsStuff Oh nice. I recommend you read psychohistory and books from alice miller.
Is it just me or am I the only person who knew they were having an anxiety attack the first time i had one? Everyone says that they thought that they were dying or having a heart attack? I'm 16 an knew it was an anxiety attack. Oh well =)
Thank you for sharing your experience Dave. Very interesting and informative video indeed…you're doing swell on your new channel!!
@insomniac1893 Haha, sounds like a crazy dream. I dreamed one time that a bear was in my apartment and my mom came over and beat it up! She really kicked it's ass! And yes, Remeron is a great help at getting to sleep.
@erdal0 Amazingly i've read the same book.
Amazing, thanks for being so open Dave!
Great video! Dave, it takes a lot for someone to talk about this subject and provide your personal stories. Looking forward to more videos!
Man, this is a good vid. Thanks!
Dave, i love watching lack78 and this new channel is just as good… I have so much respect for you, i have depression at times because i stutter, it can be hard… anyways, just want to say thank you for sharing your experiences, Rodge
Thank you for this vid and i love your courage. It's a crazy coïncident that im reading CBT for dummies at the moment. One thing i like to say..
don't assume that your having a genetic disorders because you grew up with your family and took their BEhaviours over. Thats actually the core of the problem if you were born at a healthy family you would have taken their good behaviour unconciously.
I can see that you are very open about it all and thats good and it good to see that you have moved on and you working it out, i have been there a little my self and i got myself out of it, I look back now and find it very sad that some people don't find help and end it all in this day and age,
I really like you Dave =). I wish I could meet you.
