There's a small and excellent online depression support group called Depression Hangout that is always open to anyone who is struggling with mental health problems (not just depression). It's run in its own chaotic way by its members who meet regularly in the chat room and it's a great place to seek and provide help and support, make new friends and even just have a laugh. (We all need that too!) To join just go to depressionhangout-dot-blogspot-dot-com.

it feels nice to come to this vid and see how many people have anxiety because sometimes i feel like the only one in the world with it and im not normal…anyways, i take meds for my anxiety and depression ive had anxiety since i was 3 pretty much my whole life. then, when i was 8 i started to have depression along with the anxiety. im happy im doing better than i did in my childhood ^.^
@wauwau2008 your english is perfect
what he said from 5:13 – 5:38 hit me pretty good, it was spot on and i think it can really help with panic attacks.
So whats happening to me is called panic attack. The adrenaline surges into my body and makes me panic more. I'll go to a boxing gym every day for my adrenaline to be used up. I won't take meds or any artificial shit. Thanks for the video
Thank u. I'm not alone. It was very helpful
when u get any negative feeling or ur worried dont worry past the first time,relax and stay put i did it lastnite it was scary but i had to do it.i cud of gone wrong,if any worry comes to u dont move from where u are cos by moving ur feeding it ur panic and fear it will try and take over u and it will have negative consequences,let it flow through you slowly let it do its thing dont think anything bad wen any of these things happen just say it wont hurt me,its just a stupid sensation,
i cant belive ive actually overcome it,no matter wat the pains are u just tell urself im fine there is nothing wrong if u gonna do damage just do it n stop wasting my time,i do not fear u u are not controlling me i have taken control of you and i will conquer i will win every time u wont ever get inside my head again u will try but u will be shocked wen my brain relaxes with u instead of creating a panic for me to worry about myself,im so glad ive done dis omg i cant really belive it.,
i have had all sorts of pains 2day but i let those sensations pass through me and i remain relaxed and happy telling myself theres nothin thats gonna effect me,i am healthy,all these sensations are just rushes of adrenaline trying to make me fear make me worry and to make me get stressed,its worked a treat i must say,all the pains i had have gone and before i wud worry as soon as anything dat was negative came to me,n then i wud think worse thoughts and work myself up into a panic,
people since i watched a video to take control of panic attacks b4 they strike i have been having anxiety most of my life and i always feared the worst and always negative,the video helped me,since lastnite well its like ive been reborn again,like a miracle,because ive taught my brain to think when i experience any sort of worry panic or stress,i must say theres nothing wrong this anxiety that can lead to paronoia and discomfort n stress is a big bubble of sensations,
Anxiety is and age old condition but the western medicine will never cure it the solutions for it are a joke because they dont acknowledge the true cause of it
This video really opens eyes doesn it! Im so glad Ive overcome my anxiety problems. The Cure For Anxiety ebook was the best thing i ever found. I recommend it loads! I think it usually costs but I got it for free from the site: thecureforanxiety. weebly .com
Thank You Steve, This Made Me Just Calm Down

It's a long story, but I was able to do it without having to rely on medication or traditional talk therapy. I wrote a book called "A Life Less Anxious" and also created a website to help others learn how to relax and find peace of mind naturally. I post a lot of helpful information on my website, see my profile or the video above for the website address.
Cheers,
Steve
P.S. The book is available on amazon.com
I noticed that you said you "used to have anxiety attacks" how did you finally overcome them?
excuse me steve, i have a question about the 2nd part of the technique, when we have to tense every muscle: do i have to exert force on every part of it like the way i pick up a heavy object?
@rachey11
I've done this in front of crowds, (well everything but squeezing my face really hard, lol) while being introduced before giving a speech and stuff like that and nobody even notices. You can be as subtle or over the top with it as you'd like, but it's certainly not something that anyone notices… believe me!
Cheers,
steve
This really works !
laughing at the thought of screwing my face up in public though
omg this worked, i was having a attack whilst doing this so i was like hurry to the point hahaha. thank you!
I tried this and I peed myself -_-
I need to know how to calm my nerves and anxiety attacks when I go through stressful situations like going to the Dentist. Yes I'm fearful of the Dentist and IDK why, maybe it's because they have all these tools of…destruction.
@thelifeuwant I agree. Backward somersaults are also good.
wow i just did this and it worked
@prada92114
Thanks!
@thelifeuwant
Cool tip, will give it a shot.
Cheers,
Steve
@psnLoneWulf14

I'm 13 years old suffering from constant anxiety attacks. I really want to try this because I am scared for my life. I just dont know how to make myself feel tense. Please help.
wow worked straight away… needed to calm down so i came onto youtube and found this… did it and i feel much better thanks
this is great I have tried this before. I would also recommend shaking your body after you go this. light jumps and shaking of your legs and arms and face and torso to let go of the tension even more
@SuperCorey95
Ha… yeah sorry, pretty new to this whole video thing. Finally bought a proper stereo microphone
Cheers,
Steve
@MegaFeefer

@oliverecords
Sorry to hear about you day but this technique really can help calm you down, whether it's nerves, anxiety, anger, whatever. Hope you're feeling better..
Cheers,
Steve
I just had a —— up sunday, got too angry at my little one, and got mad at the bus driver, calming down just to avoid a fight or something. It's the first time in my life, I don't even recognize myself. I seriously think of doing something and returning to what I believe is my own true self. This little technique seems to be useful, and I'll try it next time.
Thanks.
Great advice
