Panic attacks real story

i have panic disorder , hate it, can barely eat il choke on everything

i've had them since a was 3 i am now 19

I think I might be having them, either that or im dying. But its been going on for a long time and i havent died yet so I think its a panic attack? I wake up numerous times during the night and once i woke up out of breath and felt like i was gonna die (or pass out?/unconscious) and even called 911 but when they came they found nothing wrong other than be being severely dehydrated.. Do you think this is an attack? I just kept feeling like something very bad is gonna happen every day..

I've had panic attacks since I ws 14….I feel like I am dying and going to pass out at any moment. I am slowly learning to control them but Paxil 40mg has helped me tremendously.

My fear is of the panic attacks themselves, nothing else.

I used to get them real bad, but I've slowly learned to control them. I still get fairly moderate anxiety quite frequently, but i haven't had a full blown one for quite a while now.

this is how it starts for me. ill start feeling lower abdominal pain, as if my organs were shaking, my fingers, toes and face tingle, i get a funny feeling in my chest, the chest pain is what kills me, my heart starts to race, i feel dizzy and out of this world, i feel like im going to die. i also get nausiated for 6-12hrs sometimes two or three times a week.

what was it like?
because im not sure if mine was a panic attack or not.

There should be more awareness of this condition! I've only just started having panic attacks due to a bereavement along with other factors and I have to say it's the most scariest feeling I have ever experienced. I've just started college which is stressful enough without having to worry about attacks triggered from nothing. People who have never suffered from a serious attack will not know how frightening it is, my friend's don't seem to understand what I'm going through!

This is all very well, if your GP allows you to HAVE CBT.

As the Government now pays GP practices a 'fund' that they eat into, and the less they spend (expenditure), the more is kept for the GP practice….then naturally, GP's are loathed to spend money they don't feel they NEED to.

Thus, it's rare a GP practice will 'fund' CBT for years, as this guy got.

Good video, his message is good, but in reality, the NHS will not offer this service for 2.5 months, never mind 2.5 years.

it is so strange…
when i had first time a panic attack…a strong one,my voice wasnt mine.i was speaking ,but i didnt recognized my voice and my words.i was loughing,crying in the same time.i didnt recognized also my body.i wasnt able to breath anymore. it is so difficult these experiences. everybody can say that i am crazy.

after studying the symptoms of panic attacks, i cannot help diagonising myself as having panic attacks.

i had anic attacks from nhs p=avacalr tablets…
the cmany wrote fits and seizures on the warning as well as changes in mood, i was 8, i did not realise it mean panic attacks and anxiety attaccks, and depression.. the gp gave me 400, later thy treated me with 9 months of beta blockers, the mix made me feel like a car had gone over mky head every morning, it took me 5 years t regain full health, they prescribed me 1500 pills between 18 and 24 after i got ill from 400 avaclor and pronoguanil.hell
