hows your mom doing now? My mom has depression and anxiety but she never got treatment! Living with her makes me and my dad goes nuts!

@bitzabee you hit the nail right on the head for me.

Depressed people often generate unkind, crippling or hopeless thoughts often without realizing it. To stop the depression, they have to get to the root of these thoughts. Painful & discouraging or hopeless experiences from childhood are usually at the root. Going back & experiencing kindness around those experiences can help you to develop more kindness & gentleness towards yourself and in turn, help to reduce the depression.

Ny anxiety is preventing me from lifting heavy weight. I have lost 20 pounds and I get so upset that I am unable to workout like I used to :(

@fntime

I agree, exercise and a healthy balanced diet is excellent for anyone suffering from depression. I have a major depression disorder which affects my sleep (lack of sleep and restlessness) exercise and healthy eating helps with this. Unfortunately exercise is not the one and only cure, and in some cases it can contribute if a person is suffering from dysfunctional thoughts, that's where counseling and antidepressants comes into play. =)

My mom acts normally but knowing deep down she depressed, Im depressed.

fntime @ 10:51 pm #

The reason for depression is disassociation with the body
and experiencing life as a mental event.
Good cure, exercise!
