Hair on various parts of the body has been considered nasty since 5 decades. Several methods has been introduced afterwards to make your body clean without those rough discarded hair. Leaving aside the questionable techniques, let's get a load at the most popular ones.

Shaving is unquestionably the most preferable method for getting rid of hair. Hardly a television show is shown without at least one shaving related advertisement. During mid twenties BurmaShave signs were the most popular one found everywhere on the road. Although it is a safe way to remove your own unenviable body hair, there are a number of disadvantages to shaving.

The most common drawback is that you have to shave regularly. (Not to mention minor cuts and razor burn.) It may be a cheap technique to remove that unwanted hair, but it sometimes needs to be done multiple times a week, even daily in some cases.

A lot of people find it difficult to shave unwanted body hair due to lack of time. Several people search a permanent procedure who dont get time to shave.

The next in line in the quest for that smooth face or the silky legs came waxing. The method of waxing is similar to Band-Aid where, hot wax poured on your body is adhered by strips and those strips remove hairs while taking them out. Though expensive body wax is successful in removing hair for a longer duration of time.

Depilatory lotion became a well known product during 1960s. If you weren't allergic or extremely susceptible to the chemicals, you may (and maybe not) have your hair break up. Gloppy, messy, and for some, it doesn't work. When it did, it lasted about as long as waxing.

A number of torturing electric gadgets with rotating blades were introduced to remove unwanted body hair. Very few of them work well while others are a gimmick to make money. Even the best quality razors will not give permanent results.

The first technique which proved to be an awesome hair removal method was electrolysis. Hair follicles are dug in a slim metal probe and are killed by an electric shock. Failed to do so, the treatment can be repeated to give a 100 percent result. Though successful, electrolysis has some drawbacks too. It leaves scars after the procedure and one treatment is not enough to get rid of undesired hair permanently.

Getting facial hair removal done is safe when using microdermabrasion and compared to electrolysis as hair follicles arent killed by electric shock in this procedure. There is variation in it from three months to one year. Finally your will achieve your goal by gradually reducing those unwanted hairs.

The best method for permanent hair removal can be different for different person. You need to compare every method before going for one. Dont forget to consult a treatment centre if you lack time to research the procedures. It will let you know more about a specific method.

Electrolysis and laser hair removal have come out as the permanent though expensive methods for removal of unwanted body hair. Over time the materials required for these temporary methods and the time spent shopping for them, using them and cleaning up after them may end up costing just as much, if not more, than hair removing or electrolysis.
